The holiday season is officially open! And what better way to kick off the celebrations by making this Hanukkah unforgettable with a few cocktail drinks! 

We’ve selected 8 tried and tested Hanukkah cocktail  recipes that you could use to spice up your holiday:

Manischewitz Sangria Martini

Manischewitz wine has been a staple kosher drink most American Jews know very well. However, to make your toasts more flavourful why not mix it up with a few fine ingredients. 

Try out this Manischewitz Sangria Martini recipe and you would not like to take your Manischewitz wine any other way - we promise!

Ingredients: 

  • 1 part raspberry vodka
  • 1/2 part Triple sec
  • 1/2 part pear Schnapps
  • 2 parts Manischewitz Concord-grape wine
  • 1 part fresh sour mix
  • 1 part Sprite
  • Lemon twists, for added oomph 

Instructions: 

Pour all ingredients including ice into a cocktail shaker and shake your new signature drink. Pour your beverage into a martini glass, add Sprite,  garnish with a lemon twist, and enjoy. 

The Dreidel

Here’s another drink that will make your Hannoukah a holiday full of good spirit. The Dreidel is a daring and playful cocktail with colorful ingredients. The aftertaste is sure to bring a festive mood.

Ingredients: 

  • 2 ounces plum brandy 
  • 2 ounces apple juice
  • 1⁄2 ounce lemon juice
  • 1⁄2 ounce cherry-flavored liqueur
  • 1⁄2 ounce egg white
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters
  • ice

Instructions: 

Fill up ⅔ of a shaker with ice and add all of the ingredients. Shake it hard for 30 seconds, strain your drink into a small wine glass and voila you’ve made yourself a nice Dreidel cocktail. Enjoy! 

Blueberry Virgin Mojito

Mojitos are the best! We’re used to enjoying them during the summer but we have a recipe that you should definitely try this winter holiday season. And for the alcohol-free cocktail aficionados - this Blueberry Virgin Mojito has zero alcohol!

Ingredients: 

  • 10-12 blueberries
  • ½ of squeezed lime
  • 3-4 mint leaves
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • ½ cup crushed ice
  • ½ cup club soda
  • ½ cup of water

Instructions

Muddle the blueberries and the mint leaves together until they start oozing great aroma and get all juicy. Add the mix to a tall glass and pour in the lime and the sugar, then stir well. 

Add the crushed ice, water,  top with the soda, and you get a delicious alcohol-free cocktail to enjoy this Hanukkah.

Non-Alcoholic Ginger Punch 

The Non-Alcoholic Ginger Punch is another alcohol-free cocktail to add to your Hanukkah Beverage List that saves from being a delicious addition to your holiday, it is also a healthy drink worth mixing up. 

The orange and lemon juice combined with ginger give you a revitalizing cocktail ideal for Hanukkah!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 Pound Ginger, sliced 
  • 4 Cups Cold Water
  • 1/2 Cup Organic Cane Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 Cup Orange Juice
  • Ice for serving
  • Sliced orange and lemon for serving, optional

Instructions: 

In a pot, bring the ginger, sugar, and water to a boil on medium heat then reduce to low heat and cook for another 15 minutes. 

Strain the ginger water in a large pitcher and let cool before adding the other ingredients.

Once the water has cooled down slightly pour the lemon and orange juice and stir well. Add the ice cubes and the orange slices and you have yourself a healthy Hanukkah cocktail to enjoy!

Shalom

Shalom is the perfect drink to greet your family with this Hanukkah. Fast and easy to prepare this cocktail is a perfect addition to the festive dinner.

Bitai Avon

Our next cocktail entry continues the vodka themed drinks and is as equally easy to make as the Shalom cocktail. It replaces orange with apple juice and adds cinnamon for an extra festive feeling.

Fig Dark Stormy

This cocktail with an interesting name combines and a fine selection of ingredients suitable for anyone ready to experiment with textures and tastes. Adding it to your Hanukkah drink list will definitely be something your guests will appreciate and savor.

Use a shaker to mix the fig preserves, bourbon, and lemon juice. Shake until well combined. Strain the drink into a glass filled with ice. Top with the ginger beer and garnish with the fresh figs and thyme. All that’s left for you to do is to take a sip and enjoy! 


Hot Toddy with Spiced Rum

Last but not least Hot Toddy with Spiced Rum is the drink to spark a festive mood at your Hanukkah celebration!

Ingredients:

  • 1 25 cups pineapple or orange juice
  • 2 cups of water
  • 3 tbsp honey 
  • 6 to 8 ounces spiced rum and/or whiskey (combine if desired)
  • 8 ounces Boylan Ginger Ale 
  • 2 cinnamon sticks and a pinch of cinnamon (or 1 tsp ground cinnamon)
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • Orange peel or slices to garnish
  • Star anise or whole cloves to garnish

Instructions:

In a small pot add the water, juice, honey, alcohol, and ginger ale. Simmer on medium heat until well combined and the honey is completely dissolved. It should take about 2 minutes.

Then add the cinnamon and all the spices. Continue simmering on low to medium heat for another 5 minutes. 

Pour the mixture into glasses and garnish with the star anise, orange slices and sprinkle cinnamon on top. Your warm and cozy Hanukkah cocktail is ready to savor!
